The U12 Girls EP Terminators WON the Dakota Rev Tournament for the 2nd year in a row.  They played solid soccer all weekend, defeating PSA 2-1, Dakota Rev 4-0, and Woodbury 4-1 before beating Prior Lake 2-0 in the finals.  Members of the team are Madison Brabender, Katherine Bulygo, Brooke Demets, Katie Fuhs, Rebecca Gasper, Kate Hickey, Shannon Hickey, Kendal Jacobus, Maria Madison, Josie Olson, Briana Paulsen and Eryn Stewart.  The team is coached by Robin Bernabo.

The Reds (U11 Girls C2) competed against some excellent local and regional teams at the Wal-Mart All American Cup held the weekend of 13-15 June.  The Reds won their pool posting victories over Bangu White (3-2), VSA (3-0), and Dakota Rev (2-1), to advance to the tournament semifinal where they beat a strong KC Select team 3-2 with an injury-time winner.  The Reds fell to the excellent Bangu Blue team in the final, but fought hard and finished with their heads held high and with smiles all around.  This was a very physically demanding tournament, in which the Reds lost  a player to a broken foot, but they played with skill, style, and heart, and put on a fine show for a very proud group of parents and coaches.  Go mighty Reds!!!

The Eden Prairie Force boys U12-C1 soccer team participated in the the Tonka Splash Soccer Tournament June 6-8 in Minnetonka, returning to defend its 2007 title. The Force advanced to the title match via round robin play by defeating Tonka United 7-1, the Prior Lake Barracudas 4-3, and tieing the CC United White Hawks 3-3. On Sunday afternoon the Force met Tonka United again and played to a hard fought 2-2 tie in regulation time. After a 10 minute overtime the score remained deadlocked, and the match moved to a best of five shootout to determine the winner. Sam Mars and Ryan Swanson scored for the Force and goalie Alex Korn stopped all 4 Tonka shots to earn the victory and the championship. Coach Alex Carlstedt credited all the players with an exceptional effort over the weekend in winning their first tournament of 2008. Congratulations EP Force!

The EP Red Hots won their second tournament of the year...this time in Maplebrook.  In pool play, they finished 2-1 but avenged their earlier loss in a tightly contested championship game 3-1 (EP scored twice in the final 10 minutes of the game after trailing 1-0).  Not pictured are Lauren Luthro, Cassie Ziegler and Megan Platner

The Eden Prairie Red Hots (U15 C1 girls) won the Blaine Breakout tournament for the second consecutive year!  They defeated Great Plains 5-0 and Centennial 3-0 and tied Blaine 1-1 in pool play.  In their third game of the day, they defeated Chan/Chaska in a shootout 3-2 to win the championship.  Way to go Red Hots!

The U14C1 Boys team, coached by Keith Ainsworth, won the Dakota Rev indoor tournament in Rosemount beating Dakota Rev 1-0 in the Championship game. On Sunday night they played Dakota Rev to a tie, setting up the Championship game.
