Minnesota United FC’s Youth Development Program will be offering a variety of camps throughout 2023. These camps will offer opportunities for both recreational and competitive players to get involved, with a focus on honing skills, improving understanding of the game and adding a positive experience to each participant’s soccer journey.
MNUFC Summer Camps hosted by Partner Clubs:
This camp will be run by the MNUFC Academy staff, alongside other approved coaches. Participants will follow a Play-Practice-Play format, with emphasis on 1v1, 2v1, 2v2 attacking and defending activities, purposeful possession activities, and small-sided games that will maximize game understanding, individual development and enjoyment. Staff will divide players appropriately to enhance the learning environment and enjoyment for all players in attendance. All players will receive a Minnesota United FC camp shirt.
The deadline to register for any MNUFC camp is exactly seven days prior to the camp’s start date. MNUFC staff will email all registered participants 5-7 days before the camp start date with confirmation of exact field numbers and a general reminder about the camp.
All cancellations are subject to a $30 processing fee, provided that they are made prior to 14 days of the program start date. No refunds will be given for cancellations that are made within 14 days of the program start date. If you learn that you cannot attend a program within 14 days of the start date, we will work with you if you wish to transfer to another camp of the same monetary value that works for your family.
Weather Related Cancellation
In the event that a program is cut short or cancelled due to inclement weather or any other unforeseen issues, every effort will made to make up lost time by extending hours of the camp day. In the unlikely event that portions of the program cannot be made up, no refunds or credits will be offered.
Camps will not be cancelled for rain unless the level of rain has been sufficient to close the fields. Cancelations or stoppages in the camp day will only be made for severe weather such as lightning or extreme heat. If severe weather occurs after the camp has started and the facility has a safe shelter, players will be taken to the shelter and will only return to the field at least 30 minutes after the last lightning strike. If no safe shelter place is available or there is no sign of inclement weather stopping, then parents will be notified via email to promptly pick up their child.
