13U – 19U NPL/Prem i


Winter 1 Training will go 11/7 through 12/19
Schedule can be viewed via the team’s Teamsnap account
Teams will typically have 3-4 events per week including participating in the NPL or tcsl winter leagues
types of training sessionS

Technical Training (Monday/Tuesday) – Lots of touches on the ball through small-sided, intense games where players will have a ball at their feet for the majority of the session.

Team Training (Thursdays) – Training sessions within their teams in a larger space in the dome.  This will be to prepare for matches and work on important topics, relevant to how the team wants to play.

Positional/Tactical Training (Saturdays) – Sessions to help players and teams understand their roles and responsibilities in the team’s setup.  Teams will be doing intra-squad scrimmages, which will allow coaches to break down the game, tactics, and give the group a better tactical understanding.

Goalkeeper Academy (Thursdays & Saturdays) – 2x sessions per week for GKs with EPSC GK Trainer – Paul O’Connor

NPL/TCSL Winter League Games (Weekends) –

  • 1-3 home or away games during Winter 1 against NPL/TCSL Winter League opponents.
  • Home Games = Sunday evening.
  • Away Games = Saturday/Sunday

Fitness Testing (November 8th):
  • Held at the EPHS Dome mandatory for all NPL/Prem I players to attend and participate in
  • 3 Tests; To establish a fitness level base.

Team Meetings and Team Plans:

Winter 2 Training will start in the first week of January and run through the end of march.

Skills Training that will be focused on improving individual technique through lots of small sided games, touches on the ball, and high-tempo, competitive action.

Team Training that is carefully thought out, high-level training sessions that will challenge the players to improve all aspects of their game.  These aspects will include; technical, tactical, psycho-social, physical, and competitive.

Larger Space training session where players will work on tactical pieces and game like situations through scrimmages between teams.
