OVERVIEW
Emphasis is on further developing the technical and tactical skills of the individual with small group play
- Training will be focused on 1v1, 2v1, and 2v2 activities maximizing a players time on the ball so as to build the foundation skill-set
- Introduction to the tactical side of the game will occur in small groups settings such as 2v2, 3v3.
PROGRAM SPECIFICS
EPSC coaches are licensed staff members who follow a play-train-play-train model and teams will participate in the Twin Cities Soccer Leagues (TCSL) Red, White, and Blue leagues.
- These age groups play league matches and tournaments within the metro
- Matches are 7v7 (6 field players and 1 goalkeeper)
- Emphasis is placed on the player and team development not the score of the match.
SEASON OVERVIEW
Players have the option to opt in by season
Fall Season
Late August-Mid-Oct
- Teams train twice during the week
- 6 TCSL matches league on Saturday or Sunday
- One tournament on a weekend and end of season Jamboree both in the Metro
- Start Date: Late August
