8U PROGRAM
(PLAYERS Born August 1, 2018-July 31, 2019)
OVERVIEW
Designed as a bridge from the Club Development Program (CDP 6-7U), the 8U Program prepares players for competititve soccer in future seasons. The Spring season focuses on building strong technical foundations in a positive learning environment.
At this level of play, emphasis is placed on individual technical development, including dribbling, passing, receiving, and ball striking.
- Individual Player Development is the primary focus.
- Small group concepts and teamwork are the secondary focus
- Technical skills and decision making form the foundation for each player
PROGRAM SPECIFICS
Training sessions will focus on gender-specific groups of seven to ten players. Grouping may change from session to session, allowing players to work with different teammates and coaches.
EPSC coaches and trainers are nationally licensed and SafeSport Certified.
For children not old quite old enough for this program, families may explore programming available through our partner, Soccer Shots.

FALL Season
September 9 - October 11
- 8U program trains twice per week (Wednesdays 5:30pm-6:30pm and Sundays 5:00pm-6:00pm)
- One in-house jamboree
- One Twin Cities Soccer Leagues (TCSL) "5s" jamborees
- End of season TCSL jamboree
