Nearly

400

clubs nation-wide participate in the UPSL, the largest and most competitive pro-development league in North America.

With an average participant age of

22.5

the UPSL bridges the gap between youth and professional soccer - providing structure, opportunity, and a pathway for thousands of rising players and coaches.

Uniting players from over

90

different nations and elevating a community where more than half of all players and coaches are of Hispanic descent, the league champions openness and inclusion.

Established in 2011 in Santa Ana, California, the UPSL has evolved from a local 10-team league into the leading pro-development platform in North America. Operating at the fourth tier of the U.S. Soccer pyramid, the league connects the youth and professional pathways, offering structure, competitive play, and year-round seasons with national playoff competition.

Each UPSL club is independently owned and part of a league culture built on openness, inclusion, and accessibility. Through its affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation, the UPSL also provides clubs the opportunity to qualify for the U.S. Open Cup. Focused on raising standards and spotlighting local talent, the league continues to strengthen the bridge between grassroots soccer and the game’s highest levels.
